My Story

I had just reached the ripe age of 15 when I got my first paid writing gig and wrote a cover article about my high school choir. My hometown newspaper, the Modesto Bee, accepted me into their Teens in the Newsroom program.

Back then, I had no intention of making writing my career. I only took the job because it was the one thing I could get paid to do in California before I turned sixteen.

Twelve years and half a million words later, I'm a certified professional word lady

For a year, I worked as the primary writer and editor for the Assemblies of God World Missions communications office.

There, I was the primary writer and editor for WorldView, a bi-monthly magazine. For this, I traveled to France, East Africa, and the Netherlands.

Some of the other highlights of my career and education thus far include:

  • A year-long fellowship with the opinion section at USA Today, where I edited over 400 articles and even published a few of my own

  • My time as a breaking news reporter for the Washington Examiner where I wrote over 1,000 articles on various world events

  • Studying Russian politics as part of a study abroad program with the University of Oxford

  • Graduating from Concordia University Irvine with a degree in History and Political Thought

  • Getting to edit “Win the Wait,” a 21-day devotional about prioritizing God through seasons of singleness

  • The classes I’ve taken while working toward a Master’s degree in biblical studies at Asbury Theological Seminary

Every organization has a story to tell. I’ve told hundreds of them. My heart is to help charities and businesses alike tell their stories as effectively as possible.
